Is "Host Name" the true Host Name of the device or is it supposed to be the device name assigned to the device under DHCP Reservation? (Note that sometimes the "Client Name" in the DHCP Reservation table shows up as the Host Name after doing a Show Connected Devices.

When I reserve an IP address for a device and give the device a "Client Name" under DHCP Reservation the Client Name does not show up under Connected Devices (Host Name).

Is this a known bug? Issue persists even after a reboot of the router. When I click on SHOW Connected Devices, some devices that show up indicate they are "inactive" when I know that they are not. Is 4.5.8.22 the latest firmware for the router? If no, how do up upgrade it?ĭoes the router support IPV6? How do I disable IPV6 if supported?

I have hardware version 1A and software version 4.5.8.22. I'm debugging the issue and have some Roger's Hitron Router Questions. The Attached Devices table opens, displaying the device name, IP address and MAC address of each connected device.I'm having some network issues since putting a Sony TV onto my network (Ethernet Connection). On a Netgear router, click the “Attached Devices” link in the left navigation panel under the Maintenance heading. Click the “Status” option in the top navigation bar of the Linksys interface, click “Local Network,” and then click “DHCP Clients Table.” This table identifies all devices connected to the router by the device name, IP address and MAC address. Refer to the router’s user manual for the defaults for these credentials.ģ. Ethernet goes from there into the Airport Extreme. The ethernet cable comes out of there into a 'surge device' (lightning took out my last Airport router) which is a three inch long rectangular box. Log in with the administrative username and password. An ethernet cable comes in under my desk and connects on a Ubiquiti Networks Switching mode power supply Model GP A240-050. Many Netgear routers also use the domain name for the administrative interface.Ģ.
