Having no STR character means less inventory capacity, but that's just an annoyance. There isn't any class composition you can't clear the game with. The main thing about armor is that CC effects like stun/freeze/knockdown only work when there is no more armor (ex: Battle Stomp won't knock down unless the target has no physical armor left), so it's important to keep your armor from being depleted so you won't be disabled. When you take damage, damage gets applied to armor first and you only take health damage after your armor's depleted.
